A beautiful morning, a Douglas DC-3, propeller-driven airliner cruising around the world, carrying its 21 multi origins passengers, discovered with surprise a proper runway in the middle of the South Atoll of the Maldivian Archipelago and decided to land to refuel.

Once on the ground, the astonishment became even stronger as this Kooddoo Island was a pure marvel sitting around the most perfect runway.

The 21 passengers and their captain after a walk and a picnic, decided to end their journey on the White Sands. They dismantled the plane and gathered all what they had in their luggage to build the Resort. Propellers became part of the building, maps covered the walls, trunks became tables and so on.

But mostly what they achieved really was to mix all their different cultures together and with whatever material they found around that runway to create a unique and colorful haven.
